Has anyone taken Seroquel for insomnia?
I was prescribed Seroquel for insomnia 2 weeks ago.
Today, I went to ER because of rapid heart beat, tremors, and stiff muscle cramping.
The ER Dr. told me to stop taking the Seroquel immediately, as I was having an adverse reaction to it.
I know it’s considered an anti-psychotic, but I was given the med for sleep. Since I stopped taking it, now I’m concerned about any withdrawls from it. If it’s just insomnia as a withdrawl, that I can deal with. But I’m worried about the fact that it’s an anti-psychotic drug.
Are there any creepy side effects I should be aware of? I was on 50mg at night, for about 12 nights.
Also, if you know….How long before this crap is out of my system?
well seroquel is an antipsychotic, however the chances of you developing addiction to it are slim since it is not a narcotic medication. You should not have any physical withdrawals, from the medication, and you may wanna talk to a docotr about trying lunesta or ambien aka zolpidem.
